Volunteer Home Care accepts the following insurance plans:
- Medicare (Various Medicare HMOs)
- Commercial Insurance
- Self Pay
- Worker’s Compensation
- TENN Care (TLC, Omni Care, Unison,
Tenncare Select, call for more information )
Medicare and most private insurance companies pay for home
care services. Medicare pays 100% of home care charges if the
patient is homebound, requires intermittent skilled nursing or
therapy and is under the care of a licensed physician.
Commercial and TENN Care coverage of home health care varies by
plan. Our Private Pay Coordinator obtains insurance
authorization for services. You are informed, in advance of care
being provided, of what services are covered by your insurance
company. Our billing department files all insurance claims. You
may also elect to pay privately for services and are billed
directly. You may contact one of our branch offices to inquire
